I've been an elementary school art teacher for the past 11 years. Here are some of the projects we've undertaken:
THE BALLAD OF CLYDE T. CROCODILE (2014)
The story of a man trying to make it in a world that'll never quite understand him. Written, Directed, and Produced by the 2014 Prospect Elementary Renaissance Kids, art teacher John Morgan's 5th grade multimedia/art club based out of Prospect Elementary School, Monroe, NC.
SCARE CUTZ (2013)
This is the story of an independent businesswoman making things work in a monster's world. It was created between the fall of 2012 and the spring of 2013 by the Prospect Elementary Renaissance Kids, an audio/visual art club comprised of fifth graders in Mr. Morgan's art class at Prospect Elementary School in Monroe, NC.
A MOURIR POUR (2011)
This the 2011 Prospect Elementary Renaissance Kids' short film. It was made between February and June of 2011 at Prospect Elementary in Monroe, NC. PERK is comprised of a group of Mr. Morgan's 5th grade art students, as well as Mr. Casey Cromer. The film is about a trip to a fine restaurant and the hilarity that ensues.
THE MISERABLE MONKEY IS MISERABLE NO MORE (2010)
In February of 2010, I started a multimedia club with a group of fifth graders at Prospect Elementary School in Monroe, NC. We named ourselves the "Prospect Elementary Renaissance Kids"...because we can do it all. Over the next 5 months, we conceptualized, wrote, performed, drew, painted, animated, shot, and produced this song and short film. We hope you love it.
